Touchet Alternative Learning
Touchet School District has a three-year replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) levy on the February 8, 2022 ballot. A levy is a locally-approved tax based on property values. The 2022 EP&O Levy replaces the expiring levy that was approved by local voters in 2018. The 2022 levy is not a new tax.
EP&O Levy funds are used to maintain current educational programs not fully funded by the state, including:
Athletics
Extra-curricular activities
Food service support
Maintenance and operations
Music and the arts
Paraprofessionals
Preschool
Special education services
Summer school opportunities
Technology
Transportation costs

If approved, the total collection amount for the proposed levy will be $2.2 million which will be collected over three years (2023-2025). The district is asking for the same yearly collection amount of $734,966 that was approved by Touchet voters during the last election in 2018.
